Well, as people we all have our favourite cookware, spoon, plate and we are dearly attached to it, that we would never want to replace them with new ones even if their quality has dropped. But have we ever thought if it’s good for our health?
Nowadays, we all are so health conscious and strive to become and stay fit everyday. We consciously choose our food from what’s right and wrong for our bodies but do we think about the cookware we are cooking food in? Do we see what material the cookware is made of or how healthy is the cookware in which we cook healthy food?
Here are 4 signs you need to change your cookware :
- Discolouration and blackening of cookware: Over a period of time food deposits get stuck in our cookware due to lack of cleaning which leads to discolouration of the cookware and in some cases would even require more oil to cook food.
- Uneven heating – If your pan is heating fast and cooling fast or heating unevenly it’s time to change your cookware as this would also affect your food quality. If you’re wondering how? It would cook food unevenly or even overcook the food destroying the nutritious enzymes required for good health.
- Chipping of cookware – When your cookware starts chipping it releases toxic chemicals and metals. This will start mixing with the food this would overall impact your health and give you immunity problems by lowering the food quality.
- Deforming cookware: lightweight cookware often tends to deform with time due to their light bottom; the food often gets overcooked, destroying the nutrients in the food.
